Privacy policy
How the FlightScope website and the FlightScope app for Windows handle your information.
Summary
FlightScope does not have accounts, does not ask for your name, email or any other personal details, does not use cookies, analytics or advertising, and does not sell or share data about you. The aircraft, pilot and air traffic control information it displays is public data from the Infinite Flight Live API.
Who operates FlightScope
FlightScope (the website at www.infinite-flight-tracker.app and the FlightScope app for Windows) is a fan-made project operated by Kodi Free, publishing as developer KodiFree2505.
Information we collect
- No personal information. There is no sign-up, login, contact form or payment. FlightScope does not collect your name, email address, location or contacts.
- No cookies, analytics or tracking. FlightScope does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools (including Vercel Analytics or Speed Insights).
- Searches and selections stay on your device. When you search for an aircraft or pick a server, the search runs in your browser or app. To show details for an aircraft you select, FlightScope requests that flight's public flight plan, route and pilot statistics from its own server using public Infinite Flight session, flight and user IDs.
- Desktop app window settings. The Windows app remembers its window size and position in a small settings file stored locally on your PC. It is never sent anywhere and is removed when you uninstall the app. Microsoft Edge WebView2, which the app uses to display its pages, may keep its own local browser cache on your PC.
- Temporary data caches. Live data from Infinite Flight is kept only in short-lived memory and content-delivery-network caches (from seconds up to one day) so the service stays within Infinite Flight's usage limits. It is not stored in a database.
Third parties your device or our server contacts
- Vercel hosts the website and FlightScope's API. Like any web host, Vercel receives standard request information such as your IP address, browser or app user agent, the page or API address requested and the time, and keeps it in short-term server logs for operating and securing the service. FlightScope's own function logs record only the request path, status and error messages. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- Infinite Flight Live API (Infinite Flight LLC) supplies the live sessions, flights, flight plans, routes, pilot statistics, ATC and aircraft names. Only FlightScope's server contacts it, using FlightScope's own API key. Your IP address and device details are not passed on.
- Map tiles: Esri (ArcGIS Online). Your browser or the app downloads map images directly from server.arcgisonline.com, which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed.
- Content delivery networks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), icons (Font Awesome) from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and the Leaflet map library from unpkg. These providers receive standard request information such as your IP address and user agent when the files are downloaded.
- Links to other websites open in your default browser and are governed by those sites' own policies.
How information is used and shared
Request information handled by the providers above is used only to deliver and protect the service. FlightScope does not sell, rent or trade any data, does not build profiles and does not use data for advertising.
Infinite Flight data
Usernames, callsigns, aircraft positions, flight plans, pilot grades, XP, violation counts and ATC frequencies shown in FlightScope are public data published by Infinite Flight through its Live API, displayed as provided. FlightScope does not store this data permanently. Questions about your Infinite Flight profile data should be directed to Infinite Flight.
Children
FlightScope is a general-audience aviation tool. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), because it does not collect personal information at all.
Security and retention
All connections to FlightScope use HTTPS. Because FlightScope keeps no user records, there is nothing for us to retain or delete about you; host logs are retained according to Vercel's policies.
Changes to this policy
If FlightScope's handling of information changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies.
